oil for gpl

Hello my dear friends

i got a strange problem:i am using as usual gm dexos 2 5w30 oil at 15000 km.after gpl instalation i am changing the oil at 10-12000 km.the difference is that now the oil is black and this is not good for the engine.does someone suggest me to switch to other numbers as 10w30 or 0w30 or to keep the numbers but to change the company to mobil 1 or others?thank you very very much!

The car is no longer new. You could also change the oil after 1000 km. Would you find it always dark. Is perfectly normal.

No, 5/30 is excellent. Take a look:

If the summer is very hot and winter is not too cold, you can use the 10/40.

The winter is so cold? 5/30 is -30 + 35. Is okay for you. But you can try the 5/40, 30, is up to 35 ° and if the summer is so hot, maybe 40 is more appropriate.

i made already order for mobil 1 5w30.i found a very very good price around 40 euro 4 liters.thanks for the advise anyway!

What benefits have been eliminating the egr valve?

the small engine is going better, the engine is cleaner, and the evacuation faster!the gases are not burned again because thats the role of the EGR valve.this is a valve specially for engines to get from euro 3 to euro 4 or other.now, the new engines have no more egr.you can check

I will check it! My car is euro 5.

i think that you dont have it anymore. i have euro 3! in origin suppose to be euro 2 but because of this valve became euro 3.now my engine is cleaner even if maybe the noxes are more than usual!

But have you seen lower fuel consumption and/or better performance? There is a difference with or without the erg? Let me know, I like to know it

the fuel consumption is "around the same" but i am happy to have a healthy engine and a stronger one!i have a sensation of 1.4 or 1.6 engine, not a 1.2 engine as it is now
